Networking Leads to Interviews
Landing an interview is an art. For many of us we just want to get our foot in the door and get some face time with the hiring authority. We know we can sell ourselves once we get in the door but need the chance to get in the door. One of my clients went as far as traveling to a convention in the industry he was targeting. He walked booth to booth and received no response. He handed out dozens of resumes. He couldn’t get to the right person. His journey finally ended when he figured out that the link between his interviews and his network were highly correlated. He learned how to leverage his network into interviews.
