Build Your Brand

You must begin to build your brand! You are a brand and have to keep your connections aware of your successes and position. It will make the next search that much easier to take on the next time. You won’t have to go and find the network; you can just call on the group of friends and business professionals that have helped you over your searches, and career. In my current position at a Fortune 500 company, my job was landed back when I accepted my employment at a previous company. 

My current supervisor was my supervisor at the previous company. I worked on developing a great relationship with her and when she left the old company, it wasn’t long until I got a phone call from her asking me to join her at the new company. That new position was only possible because of me keeping my network aware and up to speed on my efforts at work.
